COVID-19 related Terms & Conditions General

  1. Members may book up to 7 sessions in the centre per week for either gym or adult lane swim or group exercise classes up to 7 days in advance.  Further sessions can be booked for gym sessions on top of this at 24 hours’ notice.  To do this members need to check the website or the mobile app and available sessions in the next 24 hours will show as available to book.  Further group exercise classes or pool sessions are not available to book above the allowance of 7 per week.  
  2. Members must leave the centre after their session and cannot go to other parts of the centre. i.e. After a gym session you cannot then use the pool.
  3. Bookings are 50 minutes long
  4. Members and non-members are not permitted to access areas of the building that remain closed.
  5. Social distancing will need to be maintained at all times with face coverings to be worn in all communal areas i.e. waiting areas and reception.
  6. All users must follow all relevant signage at the centre at all times.
  7. Cancellation within 24 hours of any booking will lead to a late cancelation fee unless the space is filled by another customer and a no-show will be charged if a member does not attend a booking.
  8. Any customer arriving late for their booking will be refused entry and will incur a no show charge as stated above.
  9. Everyone is responsible for cleanliness and we will provide ample cleaning materials

Terms & Conditions

These T&C’s refer to an annual paid up front or direct debit members as “members” and pay and play non-members as “non-members” when it relates to both the term used is “Customers” or “Users”

Booking & Access

The following terms and conditions apply to all users of the centre.

Use of the centre and facilities managed by the centre

  1. To use the gym, group exercise class, swimming pool or any other facility or service, this must be pre booked and paid online in advance
  2. All users of the centre must have their photograph taken to access the centre.  Or provide photographic ID such as a driver’s licence or passport on every visit to the centre
  3. Turnstiles must be used for every visit using your membership or rewards card.  The gate on the turnstiles is only to be used for wheelchair, push chair or limited mobility access.  In centres where there are not turnstiles users must approach reception to have their card swiped
  4. An adult is someone deemed 16 years and above
  5. In instances of national emergency or local lockdowns Fusion Lifestyle has the right to close centres without notice and/or limit usage to other Fusion Lifestyle run centres in areas outside of the local lockdown

Personal details

1. Customers must supply their email address, mobile phone number and address before their join or use the centre.
2. Fusion Lifestyle will not pass details onto third parties.
3. Any monthly direct debit membership must be cancelled via the website as per the terms and conditions of cancelling. To do this member must have an online account.
4. It is a customer’s responsibility to update their personal details with Fusion Lifestyle should they change. Fusion Lifestyle will update customers by email, social media and website.

Paying for bookings

1. Non-members must pay for their chosen activity at the time of booking or the booking will automatically be cancelled. Not all memberships include unlimited use of classes. Please contact your centre for confirmation of membership entitlement or see the memberships section below.
2. All booked sessions are non-refundable or transferable so please ensure you can make the time slot you have booked before confirming your booking.

Booking Times

1. The booking time covers the period of use including up to 5 minutes setting up and up to 5 minutes clearing away of facilities relating to any booking to ensure that everyone has a chance to use the facilities. There may be restrictions on the number of bookings each person is permitted to make for each day.

Conditions of Use

1. All bookings are made subject to the Terms and Conditions of Use that may apply. These are available from reception and displayed at the Leisure Centre´s and are issued with any membership.
2. If members rights are abused the membership may be terminated without notice. Membership is non-refundable
4. Non-members pay the fee designated for the individual session.
5. Members cannot bring in non-members without a booking and payment.

Cancellation fees and non attendance of bookings – As of 1st June 2021

1. A ‘no show’ fee of the price of the activity will be applied to the members’ account if they fail to attend a confirmed booking for gym, swim or group exercise.
2. A cancellation fee of the price of the activity will be applied to the members’ account if a class booking is cancelled within 4 hours of the class starting.
3. A cancellation fee of the price of the activity will be applied to the members’ account if a gym or swim booking is cancelled within 1 hour of the activity starting.

Pools

1. Pools will initially be open for adult lane swimming, utilising ‘double’ lanes. Swimmers will need to assess which lane (slow, medium, fast) is most appropriate to their ability, based on users already in the pool. Overtaking will not be permitted and swimmers will need to be respectful of other user’s personal space when swimming.

Gym 

1. Clean down your kit before and after use
2. Place any blue roll/tissue straight in the bin after use
3. Use the hand sanitiser provided during entry and exit of the gym
4. The water fountains will be out of use so please bring your own bottle of water to stay hydrated during your workout
5. Bring your own sweat towel (please do not use this to wipe down kit, use the tissue and sanitiser provided)
6. Please ensure you arrive on time for your gym session to avoid congestion at reception. If your gym session starts at 10am please arrive at 10am
7. Please arrive changed and ready to workout

Studio

1. Please arrive no more than 10 minutes before the start of your class
2. Use hand sanitiser before you enter the studio
3. Ensure you wipe your kit down before and after use using the sanitiser spray provided
4. Maintain social distancing throughout the class
5. Please don’t congregate outside of the studio before or after the class
6. Arrive changed and ready to workout
7. Bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated throughout the class
9. Bring your own sweat towel (please do not use this to wipe any equipment use the tissue and sanitiser provided

Premium Anytime Membership

1. The premium anytime membership allows unlimited access to the gym, 7 swimming pool sessions or, group exercise classes.
2. 10% discount on all spa treatments
3. Guests must pay a guest fee and cannot enter the centre without the member
4. 7day advanced booking rights and online booking, ahead of non-members
5. Fast track through reception, no waiting time
6. There is a 24-hour cancellation policy on our class bookings, which will be charged at the full class rate if not cancelled within time limit
8. The customer must be over the age of 16 years of age to hold a Direct Debit or annual membership

The premium anytime membership allows 2 adults unlimited access to the gym,7 swimming pool sessions or, group exercise classes
3. Guests must pay a guest fee and cannot enter the centre without the member
4. Both members can attend the facility at any time, they don’t need to attend together.
5. 7day advanced booking rights and online booking, ahead of non-members
6. Fast track through reception, no waiting time
7. There is a 24-hour cancellation policy on our class bookings, which will be charged at the full class rate if not cancelled within time limit
9. The customer must be over the age of 16 years of age to hold a Direct Debit or annual membership

11. If one member wishes to cancel, we can amend the account to a single account with one clear calendar months’ notice only where the membership is a monthly direct debit

Anytime Individual & Individual Corporate Membership

1. The anytime membership allows unlimited access to the gym, 7 swimming pool sessions. Member can use a maximum of 2 group exercise classes per week.
3. Guests must pay a guest fee and cannot enter the centre without the member
4. 7day advanced booking rights and online booking, ahead of non-members
5. Fast track through reception, no waiting time
6. There is a 24-hour cancellation policy on our class bookings, which will be charged at the full class rate if not cancelled within time limit
8. The customer must be over the age of 16 years of age to hold a Direct Debit or annual membership

Gym & Swim Membership

1. Unlimited access to the gym and 7 swimming pool sessions per week
2. Classes are excluded from the membership
3. Usage of any classes will be charged at the normal centre rate
4. The gym & swim membership offers usage to the centre at which the customer joined only. Some restrictions may apply
5. A £20 joining fee is chargeable on joining for new members
6. A £20 downgrade fee is chargeable for existing members transferring to the Gym & Swim
7. The customer must be over the age of 16 years of age to hold a Direct Debit or annual membership

Daytime Membership

1. Access to gym, swimming pool and from Mondays to Thursdays 9am to 12pm, 2 to 4pm only
2. 2 classes per week during daytime access hours only
4. Classes are excluded from the membership
5. Usage of any classes will be charged at the normal Centre rate
7. The Daytime membership offers usage to the centre at which the customer joined only. Some restrictions may apply
8. A £20 joining fee is chargeable on joining for new members
9. A £20 downgrade fee is chargeable for existing members transferring to the Daytime Membership
10. The customer must be over the age of 16 years of age to hold a Direct Debit or annual membership

Premium Plus Membership

1. The Premium membership allows unlimited access to the gym, swimming pool, group exercise classes, sauna and Turkish baths.
2. This membership allows 7 day advanced booking rights and online booking.
3. A membership card will be issued which must be used to enter the centre on every visit.
4. Members must have their photo taken for their membership file or provide photographic ID on every visit.
5. The Premium Plus membership offers 4 guest passes per month for your friends/family. Please note that this is for 4 different friends/family members per month.
6. The customer must be over the age of 16 years of age to hold a Direct Debit or annual membership.

Freeze of cancelling your membership

1. To freeze or amend your membership, please visit the contact us page on the centre website, select “Upgrade, Amend or Freeze My Membership”, complete the relevant fields and submit. All freezes, cancellations & amendment must be given with one clear calendar months’ notice, via the contact us page on the centre website. Click ‘Give Notice of Cancellation’, complete the cancellation form and submit. A member of our administration team will then be in touch to complete the process of cancellation.
2. The maximum freeze period per year is 3 months in total (that could be consecutively or sporadically) at the cost of £10 per month.
3. Freezes must be a full month (1st-31st or 15th-14th) to coincide with the Direct Debit. We do not offer mid-month freezes.
4. We are not able to freeze annual memberships unless reason is medical

Gift Voucher

  1. Card must be registered to person using the gift vouchers
  2. Must be redeemed within 6 months of purchase
  3. Can be used on any purchases on site
  4. Person using the gift card must be over the age of 16
  5. This cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer
  6. Cannot be refunded or exchanged

Newcastle Baths Free Gym/Swim/Group Exercise Pass Terms and Conditions

  1. The free gym/swim/Group Ex session cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer
  2. Only one activity can be booked, either a gym session or a swim session.
  3. Use of the Turkish Baths are excluded from this offer
  4. The free gym, swim or Group exercise session must be booked in advance. Our centre team will call to make this booking once the registration is received.
  5. The free session can be used for a gym, swim or group exercise session only where applicable at centres managed by Fusion Lifestyle.
  6. Only one free session is allowed per person, and ID must be presented on entry
  7. Fusion current terms and conditions to be adhered to at all times
  8. New customers signing up for a gym/swim/group exercise pass will have the free session added to the new account once registration is completed online.
  9. To use the free gym/swim/group ex session you must be over 18 years of age.
  10. The gym/swim/group ex pass is only valid for 7 days from registering. The pass will expire if no booking is made for a gym session during this time.
  11. The gym/swim/group ex session is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash or merchandise.

The Refer a Friend Promotion may be withdrawn or amended at any time and without notice.
To be eligible for entry you must be a current paying member either by direct debit or a paid in full membership (excludes season tickets and casual users).
To participate in the Refer a Friend promotion you must ensure your friend informs the centre staff team at time of joining. We are unable to backdate a referral entry if this is not declared at point of sale.
You can refer as many friends as you like. A friend is any friend, family member or other member of the public, provided they are aged 16 or over and a UK resident, who do not already have a membership with Fusion Lifestyle.

In order to make a qualifying entry your Friend must:
1. Sign up to a monthly direct debit or paid in full annual membership
2. Inform the member of staff that they have been referred to join the centre. The staff member will then complete the required form that creates the entry.
3. Both the existing member and new member to successfully pay 5 direct debit payments
4. Comply with our Terms & Conditions

The one month free membership prize is for our existing members only and will be processed after 5 direct debit payments from the new customer. The existing member must still be a live member in order to receive the free month.
This offer is not transferable and no cash alternative will be offered.  We reserve the right at any time to substitute an alternative prize.
Fusion Lifestyle reserves the right to disqualify any entries which it deems, at its sole discretion, to contravene the spirit of the promotion and any prize if awarded must be returned immediately.

Turkish Baths and Spa Terms and Conditions

Spa Medical Consultation

Here at Fusion Lifestyle your health and wellbeing is important to us. Therefore if you are currently pregnant, have any allergens, have a heart disorder, have a diagnosed medical condition or take any prescribed drugs, please let us know.

General Terms and Conditions

  1. Guests may book for the Turkish Baths up to 21 Days in advance and Treatments up to 28 Days in advance. To do so, each guest must create their own Fusion Lifestyle account online and downloading the Fusion Lifestyle mobile app.
  2. Non-members must leave the Centre after their session and cannot go to other parts of the Centre i.e. after using the Turkish Baths you cannot then use the gym unless you have already booked and paid for that activity.
  3. All Turkish Baths sessions are 90 minutes long.
  4. Turkish Bath & Swim sessions have a 60 minute period incorporated into the session to use the Pool and Sauna. The times for using the pool do not exactly mirror the Turkish Baths session time.
  5. Members and non-members are not permitted to access areas of the building that remain closed.
  6. Guests must follow all relevant signage in the Centre at all times, which will be made clear in the welcome tour.
  7. Bath robes and towels will be provided however it is recommended to bring your own non slip footwear i.e. flip flops or sliders.
  8. We advise guests to arrive 10 minutes prior to the sessions starting. Sessions will not run over the allocated 90 minutes.
  9. Guests must leave the Turkish Baths once the session has ended and proceed to the changing rooms to allow time for a turn over in preparation for the next session.
  10. Guests arriving for treatments should arrive 10 minutes prior the booking to ensure enough time to fill out a consultation form for treatments.
  11. Sessions will only run in line with the Turkish Baths time table found on the City Baths website.

Pregnancy

  1. Please note that we do not offer face and body treatments to ladies who are 1-13 weeks pregnant.
  2. From 14 weeks we offer a range of specialized luxury pregnancy treatments
  3. If you need any further assistance please ask any member of staff.
  4. Pregnant ladies are strongly advised against any heat facilities i.e. Turkish Baths and Pool side Sauna.

  3. Only Premium Plus members benefit from bringing a guest to the Turkish Baths which is included as a part of their membership.

Cancellation Fees, Rebooking and Non-attendance of bookings – as of 1st June 2021

  1. Full payment for the booking will be taken if a customer fails to attend a confirmed appointment.
  2. Treatment appointments can be rescheduled no later than 24 hours before a treatment is to take place. After the 24hour period; no refund or rescheduling will take place.
  3. We maintain the right to cancel bookings with less than 24hours notice for reason such as maintenance, staff shortage & staff sickness. 
  4. Turkish Bath Bookings can be rescheduled no later the 60 minutes before the session starts. After the 60min period; no refund or rescheduling will take place.     

Pool

  1. The pool will be open for lane swimming, utilizing ‘double’ lanes. Swimmers will need to asses which lane to swim in (slow, medium, fast). Safe over taking is permitted and swimmers should be respectful of other user’s personal space when swimming.
  2. We ask that the sauna on pool side is only used when the pool session is running and only if a lifeguard is present.

Gift Voucher

Turkish Baths

  1. Relaxation room beds are allocated for each guest, guests must not switch beds during the session.
  2. Robes and towels are allocated to guests that are booked on for the Turkish Baths and Swim and also for Premium Plus members.
  3. Guests that are booked on for just Turkish Baths are only entitled to one towel and no additional towels will be provided so we advise guests to bring any additional towels from home.
  4. Only Shower gels and shampoos are permitted inside the Turkish Bath Hammam area. We ask that these are used towards the end of a session. Making use of these open showers is encouraged to enable the flow of customers given the smaller changing rooms.
  5. Guests are advised to bring their own flip flops for use in the Turkish baths.
  6. Water is provided inside the Turkish Baths we ask all guests to use the same cup provided for the duration of their session and place it on the used tray when the session has come to an end.
  7. Guests must leave the Turkish Baths at the end of the 90 minute session unless booked onto the next session where they will be asked to relax in the relaxation area whilst we clean and turnover the Turkish Bath Area.
  8. Premium Plus members are entitled to unlimited access to the Turkish Baths as long as they have booked on for all sessions they wish to use.
  9. Premium Plus members may be charged if they do not show for bookings. Members should cancel any bookings they do not plan to attend.

Spa and Turkish Baths Rules & Etiquette

  1. Bathing costumes are to be worn at all times in all areas. Guests are advised not to consume alcohol prior to using the facilities.
  2. It is polite to refrain from talking in the Relaxation area as other spa users might be resting, sleeping, or unwinding.
  3. Thermal spa experience reservations are for a maximum of 90 minutes. Please keep voice levels to a minimum to preserve the sense of tranquillity.
  4. Leave your valuables such as mobile phone in the locker provided
  5. Arrive 5-10 minutes before treatments
  6. Do not go with athlete’s foot or verruca’s
  7. Let therapists know of any illness or conditions
  8. Please keep yourself hydrated by drinking more water
  9. If you feel unwell whilst using the facility, please inform a staff member. In an emergency, please use the nearest emergency alarm.
  10. City Baths Newcastle is not liable for any personal possessions lost in the Spa or Turkish Baths.
  11. Personal products are not prohibited inside the Turkish Baths and Relaxation room this excludes shampoo and shower gel which can be used in the Hammam showers.
