The refurbished Turkish Baths at Newcastle City Baths are the perfect venue for a delightful spa experience and a unique relaxation experience of a lifetime.
Their ethos encapsulates flexibility, informality and clarity, with the aim to offer you a unique experience based on freedom of choice where you are in control of how you spend your time.
The Turkish Bath experience is a core part of your spa experience and can be taken on its own without the need for extra treatments. It is a journey of heating, cooling and cleansing the body to leave you feeling relaxed and revitalized. Set in the traditional designs of mosaic tiles and Islamic arches you have the chance to unwind in your own relaxation booth with its ornate wooden screens. From here you move through the Turkish Bath heated chambers:
•The tepidarium is the warm room that gently heats your body
•The caldarium increases the temperature and will create a therapeutic benefit
•The laconium purifies and detoxifies your body by stimulating circulation
When you are ready to cool down there is our plunge shower which will help your body flush out the toxins.

Mud Chamber Treatment
SERAIL MUD CHAMBER TREATMENT | 45 min £49 for 1 person / £85 for 2 people
A hugely popular treatment, you and your loved one (or friend) apply healing muds to your bodies before entering the chamber. Then you simply relax and let the herbal warmth of the room kickstart the ingredients into cleansing your skin and removing toxins. The Serail Mud Chamber has gentle music and lighting to further accentuate the calming experience.
Afterwards, you enjoy a steam bath and then a warm shower, both of which help remove the muds. Your skin will be so soft, you won’t believe! This decadent treatment is naturally the most requested by couples, so early booking is recommended.
