Terms & Conditions

These T&C’s refer to an annual paid up front or direct debit members as “members” and pay and play non-members as “non-members” when it relates to both the term used is “Customers” or “Users.

Booking & Access

The following terms and conditions apply to all users of the centre. 

Use of the centre and facilities managed by the centre

1. To use the gym, group exercise class, swimming pool, courts, rooms, soft play users or any other facility or service must have pre booked and paid online in advance

2. All users of the centre must have their photograph taken to access the centre.  Or provide photographic ID such as a driver’s licence or passport on every visit to the centre

3. Turnstiles must be used for every visit using your membership or rewards card.  The gate on the turnstiles is only to be used for wheelchair, push chair or limited mobility access.  In centres where there are not turnstiles users must approach reception to have their card swiped

4. Where Fusion Lifestyle operate outside pitches and areas a member of staff will check payment has been made before entry is permitted

5. An adult is someone deemed 16 years and above

6. In instances of national emergency or local lock downs Fusion Lifestyle has the right to close centres without notice and/or limit usage to other Fusion Lifestyle run centres in areas outside of the local lock down.

7. If a member is more than 5 minutes late, they will be refused entry.

People unable to book online

We appreciate that some of our members may not be able to book digitally or online. In such cases these members can call the centre on the centre telephone number, and we will take bookings and payments over the phone.

Personal details

1. Customers must supply their email address, mobile phone number and address before their join or use the centre.

2. Fusion Lifestyle will not pass details onto third parties.

3. Any monthly direct debit membership must be cancelled via the website as per the terms and conditions of cancelling.  To do this member must have an online account.

4. It is a customer’s responsibility to update their personal details with Fusion Lifestyle should they change.  Fusion Lifestyle will update customers by email, social media and website.

Age Restrictions

1. Fusion offer products and services that are subject to age restrictions, to ensure the best experience when using the facilities customer may be asked to provide proof of age. 

2. The following are examples of accepted proof of age documents, passport, photo student ID, Proof of age card, driving licence.

Bookings & Court Hire

1. All visits/sessions must be pre-booked and paid for online or via the Fusion Lifestyle app or website. This can be done up to 7 days before for members and 6 days before for non-members. You’ll just need to bring your membership or rewards card and can then go straight to your session. If you are a first-time booker, you can pick your card up on your first visit.

Paying for bookings

1. Non-members must pay for their chosen activity at the time of booking, or the booking will automatically be cancelled. Not all memberships include unlimited use of classes or courts.  Please contact your centre for confirmation of membership entitlement or see the memberships section below.

2. All non-member booked sessions and additional paid sessions by members including family swims are non-refundable or transferable so please ensure you can make the time slot you have booked before confirming the booking.

Booking Times

1. The booking time covers the period of use including up to 5 minutes setting up and up to 5 minutes clearing away of facilities relating to any booking to ensure that everyone has a chance to use the facilities there may be restrictions on the number of bookings each person is permitted to make for each day. Please see the relevant centre home site for any restrictions that may apply.

Conditions of Use

1. All hires and bookings are made subject to the Terms and Conditions of Use that may apply from time to time. These are available from reception and displayed at the Leisure Centre´s and are issued with any membership.

2. If members rights are abused the membership may be terminated without notice. Membership is non-refundable

3. The Monthly Individual or Anytime membership includes 2 hours per week court hire per adult at no additional cost 

4. Non-members pay the guest fee.

5. Members cannot bring in non-members.

Behaviour and conduct

We are committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment for all members, visitors, and staff. Any form of anti-social, abusive, threatening, or disruptive behaviour (including but not limited to verbal or physical abuse, harassment, vandalism, or actions that negatively impact others’ enjoyment or safety) will not be tolerated.

Fusion reserve the right to take appropriate action in response to such behaviour, which may include suspension or immediate termination of membership without refund. In serious cases, the matter may also be referred to the relevant authorities.

Cancellation fees and non-attendance of bookings

1.  A ‘no show’ fee of £3 will be applied to the members’ account if they fail to attend a confirmed booking for gym, swim or group exercise.

2.   A cancellation fee of £3 will be applied to the members’ account if a class booking is cancelled within 2 hours of the class starting.

3.  A cancellation fee of £3 will be applied to the members’ account if a gym or swim booking is cancelled within 2 hours of the activity starting.

Pools

1. Lightning will cause closure of the Lido – no refunds will be issued but an alternative session can be booked

2. Brockwell Lido is a cold open water swimming pool, please read the cold open water swimming tips when you book or the posters at site. Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to swim in the Lido when the pool temperature is below 15°C. The pool temperatures are posted on social media when the Lido opens each morning.

Gym 

1. Clean down your equipment before and after use

2. Place any blue roll/tissue in the bin after use

3. Use the hand sanitiser provided before entry to the gym

5. Bring your own sweat towel (please do not use this to wipe down kit, use the tissue and sanitiser provided)

6. Please ensure you arrive on time for a pre-booked gym session.

Studio

1. Please arrive no more than 10 minutes before the start of your class

2. Use hand sanitiser before you enter the studio

3. Ensure you wipe your kit down before and after use using the sanitiser spray and blue roll provided

4. Bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated throughout the class

5. Bring your own sweat towel (please do not use this to wipe any equipment use the tissue and sanitizer provided

6. If a member is more than 5 minutes late for a class they will be refused entry.

Premium

1. The Premium membership allows access to the gym, swimming pool, group exercise classes, & health suite where applicable.  This membership allows members to book a maximum of 3 single courts for up to 1 hour per session

2. Courts can be hired for a maximum of 3 bookings per week of between 30 minutes and one hour in duration per booking per adult (table tennis, badminton, squash, tennis). Guests must pay a guest fee.  Guests cannot enter the centre without the member.

3. This membership allows 7-day advanced booking rights and online booking.

4. A membership card will be issued which must be used to enter the centre on every visit.

5. Members must have their photo taken for their membership file or provide photographic ID on every visit.

6. The premium membership offers access to all locations operated by Fusion Lifestyle.  

7. The customer must be over the age of 16 years of age to hold a Direct Debit or annual membership.

8. A joint membership may be added to this membership which would allow two adults the same privileges as above.

9. The promoter is Fusion Lifestyle, Suite 3 & 4 Blake House, Schooner Court, Dartford, DA2 6QQ

Anytime/Essential

1. The Anytime or Essential membership allows access to the gym, swimming pool, unlimited group exercise classes per week, & health suite where applicable. Extra bolt on classes can be purchased. This membership does not allow court bookings which would be chargeable at an extra cost.

2. Guests must pay a guest fee. Guests cannot enter the centre without the member

3. This membership allows 7-day advanced booking rights and online booking.

4. A membership card will be issued which must be used to enter the centre on every visit.

5. Members must have their photo taken for their membership file or provide photographic ID on every visit.

6. The Anytime or Essential membership offers access to other centres in the same borough operated by Fusion Lifestyle.  

7. The customer must be over the age of 16 years of age to hold a Direct Debit or annual membership.

8. A joint membership may be added to this membership which would allow two adults the same privileges as above.

9. The promoter is Fusion Lifestyle, Suite 3 & 4 Blake House, Schooner Court, Dartford, DA2 6QQ

Daytime/Foundation

1.The Daytime or Foundation membership allows access to the gym, swimming pool, 2 group exercise classes per week, & health suite where applicable from Monday to Friday 10am – 4pm. Extra bolt on classes can be purchased. This membership does not allow court bookings which would be chargeable at an extra cost. 

2. Daytime access hours may vary from borough to borough so please check & confirm with your local home site.

3. Guests must pay a guest fee. Guests cannot enter the centre without the member.

4. This membership allows 7-day advanced booking rights and online booking.

5. A membership card will be issued which must be used to enter the centre on every visit.

6. Members must have their photo taken for their membership file or provide photographic ID on every visit.

7. The Daytime or Foundation membership can only be used in the centre it was purchased in.

8. The customer must be over the age of 16 years of age to hold a Direct Debit or annual membership.

9. A joint membership may be added to this membership which would allow two adults the same privileges as above.

Gym & Swim/Core

1. The Gym & Swim or Core membership allows access to the gym, swimming pool only. Extra bolt on classes can be purchased. This membership does not allow court bookings which would be chargeable at an extra cost.

2. Guests must pay a guest fee.  Guests cannot enter the centre without the member.

3. This membership allows 7-day advanced booking rights and online booking.

4. A membership card will be issued which must be used to enter the centre on every visit.

5. Members must have their photo taken for their membership file or provide photographic ID on every visit.

6. The Gym and Swim or Core membership offers access to your single home site.

7. The customer must be over the age of 16 years of age to hold a Direct Debit or annual membership.

8. A joint membership may be added to this membership which would allow two adults the same privileges as above.

NHS/ Emergency Services Membership

1. The Corporate membership allows access to the gym, swimming pool, 3 group exercise classes per week, & health suite where applicable. Extra bolt on classes can be purchased. This membership does not allow court bookings which would be chargeable at an extra cost, unless you upgrade to the Premium Corporate membership.

2. Proof of eligibility must be presented at point of sale, with a photocopy taken by centre and added to the membership account. The proof of eligibility will offer a 10% discount on our Essential/Premium memberships.

3. Proof of eligibility will include NHS staff card (with photo ID and name), NHS/Emergency services payslip, NHS/emergency services letter of employment (dated within the last 3 months), 

4. Guests must pay a guest fee.  Guests cannot enter the centre without the member

5. This membership allows 7-day advanced booking rights and online booking.

6. A membership card will be issued which must be used to enter the centre on every visit.

7. Members must have their photo taken for their membership file or provide photographic ID on every visit.

8. The Corporate membership offers cross usage to other centres in the same borough operated by Fusion Lifestyle.  

9. The customer must be over the age of 16 years of age to hold a Direct Debit or annual membership.

Freeze or cancelling your membership

1. To amend your membership, please visit your local centre, where a Customer Service Assistant will be able to help you.  

2. To freeze your membership, please visit the contact us page on the centre website, click “Give Notice of Membership Freeze” option, complete the freeze request form and submit it successfully. Once submitted, you will receive an automated confirmation. 

2.1. The maximum freeze period per annum is 3 months in total (that could be consecutively or sporadically) at the cost of £10 per month. 

2.2. Freezes must be a full month (1st-31st or 15th-14th) to coincide with the Direct Debit. We do not offer mid-month freezes. 

2.3 If you are looking to downgrade your membership, please request this using the contact form which you will find on our website. The change will be effective from your next payment date. 

3. To cancel your membership, you must select the “Give Notice of Cancellation” option on the contact us page, complete the cancellation form and submit it successfully. Once submitted, you will receive an automated confirmation. 

4. All cancellation and freeze requests must be given with one clear calendar months’ notice. If you are requesting a cancellation whilst in the middle of a freeze, the cancellation will not be processed until one clear months’ payment of membership is given.

5. All new members have a 14-day cooling-off period. If you wish to cancel your membership within your first 14 days of joining, you must “Give Notice of Cancellation” option on the contact us page, complete the cancellation form and submit it successfully. You will also need to inform your centre that you are cancelling within 14 days of joining.

6. All memberships must be live and not frozen in their last month for them to be cancelled.  Member accounts must not have any arrears to be able to cancel the membership.

Annual memberships

1. Annual memberships share the same terms and conditions as the relevant monthly direct debit membership

2. Annual memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.

5. Lifeguards are not permitted to enter the water to organise activities. If a party organiser is required in addition to the lifeguards, you should discuss with the leisure centre and a charge for this will be made.

6. Food is provided at selected centres. Please confirm your requirements when booking. At other centres we ask you to bring your own party food (including a cake), drinks and decorations. Some centres do not have facilities for food.  

7. If you wish to take photographs or use video equipment during your party you must obtain permission from the Duty Manager, and our disclaimer must be completed and signed in advance of the party.

8. Please arrive no more than 10 minutes before your party to meet your party host.

9. Two adults over the age of 18 are required to remain present throughout the party. More supervising adults may be required for Big Day Swim Parties for children under 8. Please check with the centre and confirm this when booking.

10. Our swimming admission policy always applies. Please ask a member of staff for details.

11. Socks must be worn for Big Day Bounce and Soft Play Parties.

12. Suitable non-marking trainers and comfortable clothing should be worn for Big Day Sports Parties.

Cashless top up card account 

1. A cashless account is an account held that you or we have credited an amount of money to. 

2. This credit once purchased or provided can be used to purchase either pre-paid activities and bookings or immediate bookings.

3. Once a credit has been added to your cashless account, either by you or Fusion Lifestyle, it cannot be refunded under any circumstances. 

4. Should you have debt on any other account held with Fusion Lifestyle, then any credit balance can be transferred from your cashless account to the debt account without authorisation from you to either clear or part clears this debt account. 

5. Credit on the cashless account will be valid for 2 years, after 2 years any credit on the cashless account will be removed and cannot be reinstated or refunded.

6. No interest is paid for any account that is in credit with Fusion Lifestyle.

7. Cashless credit cannot be carried forward to a new operator nor will it be refunded should Fusion Lifestyle stop the management of a single site or borough where credit is held. You will be given reasonable notice of any demobilisation of site or contract and requested to use any credit before the contract expiration date.

7 days ‘Holiday Pass’ membership

2. Passes are for seven (7) consecutive days from the nominated start date. 

3. Fusion current terms and conditions to be always adhered to.

4. Holiday passes are non-transferrable and non-refundable after time of purchase. 

5. Fusion Lifestyle reserves the right to restrict access to certain areas at any time.  All classes and sessions are subject to availability. Some activities may incur an additional charge. Please call-in advance to find out more.

Refer a Friend Campaign

Refer a friend campaigns run at specific times during each calendar year. This will be a Group Campaign or Site/ Borough specific.

The campaign offers the current member 50% of their next monthly payment when they refer a friend who joins as a member within the campaign offer period stated.

To be eligible for entry you must be a current paying member either by direct debit or a paid in full membership (excludes season tickets and casual users).

To participate in the Refer a Friend promotion you must ensure your friend informs the centre staff team at time of joining. We are unable to backdate a referral entry if this is not declared at point of sale.

You can refer as many friends as you like. A friend is any friend, family member or other member of the public, provided they are aged 16 or over and a UK resident, who do not already have a membership with Fusion Lifestyle.

This offer is not in conjunction with Swim School.

To make a qualifying entry your Friend must:

1. Sign up to a monthly direct debit or paid in full annual membership

2. Inform the member of staff that they have been referred to join the centre. The staff member will then complete the required form that creates the entry.

3. Both the existing member and new member to successfully pay 1 direct debit payments

4. Comply with our Terms & Conditions

The 50% off June 2025 direct debit prize will be processed after 1 direct debit payments from the new customer. Both the existing member and the new member still be a live member to receive the free month.

This offer is not transferable, and no cash alternative will be offered.  We reserve the right at any time to substitute an alternative prize.

Turkish Baths and Spa Terms and Conditions

Spa Medical Consultation

Here at Fusion Lifestyle your health and wellbeing is important to us. Therefore if you are currently pregnant, have any allergens, have a heart disorder, have a diagnosed medical condition or take any prescribed drugs, please let us know.

General Terms and Conditions

  1. Guests may book for the Turkish Baths up to 21 Days in advance and Treatments up to 28 Days in advance. To do so, each guest must create their own Fusion Lifestyle account online and downloading the Fusion Lifestyle mobile app.
  2. Non-members must leave the Centre after their session and cannot go to other parts of the Centre i.e. after using the Turkish Baths you cannot then use the gym unless you have already booked and paid for that activity.
  3. All Turkish Baths sessions are 90 minutes long.
  4. Turkish Bath & Swim sessions have a 60 minute period incorporated into the session to use the Pool and Sauna. The times for using the pool do not exactly mirror the Turkish Baths session time.
  5. Members and non-members are not permitted to access areas of the building that remain closed.
  6. Guests must follow all relevant signage in the Centre at all times, which will be made clear in the welcome tour.
  7. Bath robes and towels will be provided however it is recommended to bring your own non slip footwear i.e. flip flops or sliders.
  8. We advise guests to arrive 10 minutes prior to the sessions starting. Sessions will not run over the allocated 90 minutes.
  9. Guests must leave the Turkish Baths once the session has ended and proceed to the changing rooms to allow time for a turn over in preparation for the next session.
  10. Guests arriving for treatments should arrive 10 minutes prior the booking to ensure enough time to fill out a consultation form for treatments.
  11. Sessions will only run in line with the Turkish Baths time table found on the City Baths website.

Pregnancy

  1. Please note that we do not offer face and body treatments to ladies who are 1-13 weeks pregnant.
  2. From 14 weeks we offer a range of specialized luxury pregnancy treatments
  3. If you need any further assistance please ask any member of staff.
  4. Pregnant ladies are strongly advised against any heat facilities i.e. Turkish Baths and Pool side Sauna.

Booking and Access

  1. To use the Turkish Baths or Spa facilities, this must be pre booked and paid online in advance.
  2. Each Guest attending must create their own account to be able to book.
  3. Only adults are permitted to use the Turkish Baths and Spa. An adult is someone deemed 16 and above.
  4. In instances of national emergency or local lockdowns, Fusion Lifestyle has the right to close centers without notice and/or limit usage to all facilities.
  5. Guests must pay for either their Turkish bath sessions or Spa treatment in advance of the booking or the booking will automatically be cancelled.
  6. All bookings are non-refundable or transferable so please ensure you can make the time slot you have booked before confirming your booking.
  7. The booking time covers the period of use including up to 5 minutes prior in preparation for treatments and Turkish bath visits.
  8. There may be restrictions on the number of bookings each person is permitted to make for each day.

Personal Details

  3. It is a guests responsibility to update their personal details with Fusion lifestyle should they change. Fusion lifestyle will update customers by email, social media and website.

Conditions of use

  1. All bookings are made subject to the Terms and Conditions of Use that may apply. These are available at the city-baths.co.uk.
  2. If the Spa rules are abused the booking may be terminated without notice. Bookings are non-refundable.
  3. Only Premium Plus members benefit from bringing a guest to the Turkish Baths which is included as a part of their membership.

Cancellation Fees, Rebooking and Non-attendance of bookings – as of 1st June 2021

  1. Full payment for the booking will be taken if a customer fails to attend a confirmed appointment.
  2. Treatment appointments can be rescheduled no later than 24 hours before a treatment is to take place. After the 24hour period; no refund or rescheduling will take place.
  3. We maintain the right to cancel bookings with less than 24hours notice for reason such as maintenance, staff shortage & staff sickness. 
  4. Turkish Bath Bookings can be rescheduled no later the 60 minutes before the session starts. After the 60min period; no refund or rescheduling will take place.     

Pool

  1. The pool will be open for lane swimming, utilizing ‘double’ lanes. Swimmers will need to asses which lane to swim in (slow, medium, fast). Safe over taking is permitted and swimmers should be respectful of other user’s personal space when swimming.
  2. We ask that the sauna on pool side is only used when the pool session is running and only if a lifeguard is present.

Gift Voucher

Turkish Baths

  1. Relaxation room beds are allocated for each guest, guests must not switch beds during the session.
  2. Robes and towels are allocated to guests that are booked on for the Turkish Baths and Swim and also for Premium Plus members.
  3. Guests that are booked on for just Turkish Baths are only entitled to one towel and no additional towels will be provided so we advise guests to bring any additional towels from home.
  4. Only Shower gels and shampoos are permitted inside the Turkish Bath Hammam area. We ask that these are used towards the end of a session. Making use of these open showers is encouraged to enable the flow of customers given the smaller changing rooms.
  5. Guests are advised to bring their own flip flops for use in the Turkish baths.
  6. Water is provided inside the Turkish Baths we ask all guests to use the same cup provided for the duration of their session and place it on the used tray when the session has come to an end.
  7. Guests must leave the Turkish Baths at the end of the 90 minute session unless booked onto the next session where they will be asked to relax in the relaxation area whilst we clean and turnover the Turkish Bath Area.
  8. Premium Plus members are entitled to unlimited access to the Turkish Baths as long as they have booked on for all sessions they wish to use.
  9. Premium Plus members may be charged if they do not show for bookings. Members should cancel any bookings they do not plan to attend.

Spa and Turkish Baths Rules & Etiquette

  • Bathing costumes are to be worn at all times in all areas. Nudity is not permitted in any public areas of The City Baths Newcastle, including all of our facilities.
  •  Our Turkish Bath experience doesn’t include a body scrub this can be booked at an additional cost depending on availability.
  • It is polite to use your spa voice (quieter) or where possible refrain from talking in the relaxation area as other spa users may be resting, sleeping, or unwinding.
  • We recommend that you bring a plastic bag for your wet items after your visit.
  • Personal electronic devices can be used but must be on silent; not vibrate.
  • The use of headphones is permitted in the relax area only and the volume level must be so that no noise can be heard by fellow users.
  • Guests are asked not to consume alcohol prior to using the facilities, any guests who are visibly drunk will be refused entry and no refund will be given.
  • Our thermal spa experience reservations are for a maximum of 2 hours. 
  • No outside food or drinks to be consumed in the Turkish Baths and Spa.
  • Please leaving all valuables in your locker.
  • Please arrive 5-10 minutes before treatments.
  • Please bring flip flops/sliders/crocs and towels with you.
  • Please do not attend with athlete’s foot or verruca’s.
  • Please let our concierge or therapist know of any illness or conditions you have that could affect your visit.
  • Please keep yourself hydrated by drinking water throughout the thermal experience.
  • If you feel unwell whilst using the facility, please inform a staff member.
  • City Baths Newcastle is not liable for any personal possessions lost in the Spa or Turkish Baths.
  • The recommended time spent in each of our facilities is 15 minutes at any one time, i.e. Dry Sauna, Steam Room and Spa. The use of henna, hair dye, mud masks, creams, oils, cosmetics, nail clipping, any kind of hair removal, running, sexual activity and diving is not permitted anywhere in The City Baths Newcastle, and body scrubbing is only permitted in our Hammam Room when a treatment is paid for.
  • We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice when booking all packages and treatments. In the rare event that our massage therapists become unavailable, we may have to get in touch to reschedule your booking.
  • Please note that if you are late to your appointment we will only have the remaining time allocated. Amendments of bookings are to be made with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice where every effort will be made to reschedule to a more convenient time. In the event that you change your mind, or are unable to attend your booking, credit will be offered when a minimum of 48 hours’ notice is given. Failure to give notice will result in your deposit being held or the full amount being charged. All payments are non-refundable.

Newcastle Student Membership Competition.

12. The prize is one free 12-month student membership as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

13. The winner will be notified by phone and email. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner. The winner will be shared on the Fusion Lifestyle Facebook post.

14. The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be delivered.

15. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
