At The City Baths, we are huge advocates of mental health and champion exercise not only for its physical benefits, but because of the positive impact in can have on mental wellbeing too.  

Last week marked Mental Health Awareness Week and its always incredible to see the conversations taking place online – from The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Mental Health Minute takeover, to the simple words of encouragement between friends.

And while it certainly brings much-important awareness to the topic and sparks discussions, we believe mental health shouldn’t be a taboo subject. It’s something that should be taken just as seriously as our physical health, and spoken about on a regular basis.

When restoring The City Baths, we wanted to create a wellbeing destination with a real community feel, right here in the heart of the Newcastle. Our fantastic members like Vicky, have helped us create that feeling as soon as you step through our doors.

We’re not your typical warehouse gym – aside from the building’s beautiful architecture and design, our members interact with each other, become friends and create a unique atmosphere that isn’t replicated anywhere else in the city.
